We were on the ice this morning, Bostic Bay is comming along nicely. The lake a little slower but slowly improving. 7 inches in Bostic Bay 4 inches on the lake so next weekend we will hopefully be pulling houses out. Stay safe everyone and think below zero with no more snow!

Ice conditions

Trail is staked from Cyrus out to Morris Point. Ice varied from 4"-7" when checked today. The lake is rough the first 1/4 mile, but we plan to flood that. Hopefully this weekend the thickness will even out. We will be out again tomorrow so keep checking back.

This picture was taken from Morris Point on 11-24-12. The ice is maybe 2" thick, rough and snow covered about a mile out and then clear and starting to form past that. The cold weather we are having is great! If the wind is low and the weather stays below freezing we can form 1"-2" of ice each night.

Here is a Lake of the Woods aerial photo taken at 12:30pm today. You can see the ice edge about 1 mile out. We hope for low winds and cold temperatures over the next week to help get us out FISHING soon!
