Thank you everyone for the great spring, summer and fall! Our bar and restaurant is now closed until early December at the beginning of the ice fishing season. We are still renting cabins out and many fishermen are having a great time!!

Fishing Report

Fishing excellent this week both on the lake and in the Rainy River.  Just outside the Lighthouse Gap and Morris Point Gap, in front of Zippel Bay and Long Point in 18-24′ has good numbers of walleyes and saugers.  Go to method is anchored up with a jig and frozen shiner.  Good limits of fish.  Pike active in bays.

On the Rainy River, fish being caught from the mouth of river all the way up to Birchdale, about 40 miles upstream.  Fish continue to move in from the lake chasing emerald shiners.  Jig and minnow in 14-20′ effective.  Anglers catching pulling crankbaits as well.

Fishing Report



Good limits this week as walleyes and sauger start their fall trends. Garden Island still producing 15-25 drifting with hammered gold spinners tipped with crawlers or leeches. Other walleye moving shallow towards the river. Jigging with orange or pink tipped with frozen shiner or live minnow doing well 20-30 midday in front of Lighthouse Gap, Morris Point Gap, Pine Island or Zippel Bay. Long Point doing well 26-30.
