We had another wonderful weekend! Anglers fishing the lake didn’t have to travel too far to find fish. We saw many limits, slot fish, huge northerns and trophy walleyes caught in the last week. The best luck has been in 10 to 24 feet of water in Four Mile Bay, the Lighthouse Gap and the Morris Point Gap anchored and jigging. Gold jigs have been working the best.

IT WAS A WEEKEND FOR THE BOOKS!!
The weather was absolutely beautiful, but the fishing wasn't as fast and furious as it was earlier in the month/week. The bite has been the best early in the morning and in the late afternoon. Our guest's did the best anchored and jigging with frozen shiners. On Monday the best results came from over by Zipple Bay in 18-24' of water. Also, a few boats picked up their limits in Morris Point gap and Lighthouse gap anywhere from 9-20' of water. Memorial day weekend! Yay!! The weather is awesome and the fishing is great! Come hang out at Cyrus during this long weekend! The best results have been in 9-20' of water in Four Mile Bay and 6-12' on the lake jigging with frozen shiners and leaches. Once you get here pick up some HOT 3/4 oz. jigs (pictured below)

We are so excited for opener! We drove a boat down Bostic Creek yesterday trying to get to the lake. We saw open water but couldn't get to it due to ice that had blown in. On the other side of the ice we could see open water that seemed to be about a mile out. We are expecting to be able to fish on the lake during opener in about 20 feet of water. We are eager to see everyone for the opening weekend May 10th and we will continue to keep you informed on conditions.

One of our server's Tracy caught this 70" Sturgeon last Sunday! The last day for that season is May 8th.

The keep 1 sturgeon season (within size limits) starts today and goes through May 7. Many monsters have already been reeled in and released! Wheeler's point public access is open and the sturgeon are biting in Four Mile Bay. Our Bar is open nightly from 4pm until close serving beverages and frozen pizza's. The office, restaurant and resort will open back up to full-time on Thursday May 8th.

We have reduced cabin rates during April! The best depths for fishing have been 13-17ft at Morris Point gap and Lighthouse gap in the mornings and evenings. Fishing keeps getting better every day! The next few weeks would be a great time to try tip-up fishing shallow in the bays or on the lake in 8-10ft of water. Lori caught an awesome Northern a few nights ago!! Check it out!

There is only a few weeks left of the winter walleye season and we are anticipating some hot fishing coming soon! Our restaurant is keeping normal hours (6:30am - 9:30pm) through the rest of the month. March 31st is the last day we will we will be serving food. Through April our bar will be open 7 days a week 4pm-9pm serving drinks and pizzas. April should be an awesome month for people in search of massive walleye, Northern and sturgeon! We have plenty of cabins available for anyone interested! Thank you from everyone at Cyrus especially our guides and Lori!!

Hello! Due to open holes in bostic bay our road is closed to full size vehicles for the season as of today. Once the bay starts to go out it will happen fast. If anyone has a wheel house staged on the bay you should think about picking it u...p as soon as possible. We are still renting out cabins and allowing ATVs and snowmobiles to use our access. Thank you to everyone who used our road this winter! We have enjoyed hanging out with all of our old friends and its been great meeting so many new people!!

Fishing report
Our road is plowed out 4 miles in 31ft of water. Fishing has picked up. We’ve seen an increase in keepers with afternoons being the best time to be on the lake. We have been transporting customers by track vehicles fishing in our houses near Lem's reef. Actions has been good for them catching nice saugers and some walleye's in the slot. We also have plenty of room for wheel houses. Our wheel house rows are at 2.8, 3.2 and 4 miles out. Happy fishing and see you this weekend!
