Fishing Report 12-17-12

Our houses are set at 24'-27' and are averaging 40 fish per day. This is down from 100 fish per day when the sun shines. Anything glow with white and pink as secondary color works well. Smaller frozen shiner are working best for jigging, but a live chub is great on a deadstick.

The ice is holding at 9"-12" where we are fishing. The road is 10"-11". There are still many spots of thin ice, so be certain to follow the staked road. We are still allowing wheeler traffic only. Smaller wheel houses can be pulled out with a 4-wheeler or by us. No large vehicles.

Have fun and stay safe!
