We had a great weekend! We experienced temps above freezing which made transportation and fishing on the ice very sloppy. We are thankful the extended forecast shows it will not rise above 32 degrees! There is 16-17 inches of ice on the lake with some spots still as thick as 19 inches. We are allowing full size vehicles and wheel houses out of our access, but for a future heads up our lodge, lake access, bar and restaurant will be closed on Christmas Eve and Day. It was awesome visiting with fishermen, hearing big fish stories and other adventures everyone was getting into this weekend. Some groups would catch their limits each day with almost every group taking their limits home. Multiple gorgeous slot fish, some perch, eel pout and sturgeon making this weekend such a success. The best depth still has been wavering day to day, but I believe 21-22 feet has been the most productive. Hot colors have been pink, gold, green and glow working best with a live minnow or a frozen shiner head.
